Anyone used JET performance control module?

I saw this site on another thread. It's the JET performance control module. The description claims as high as 30hp to a Nissan. Needless to say, I'm very critical of that claim. Has anyone used this? It looks separate from the JET ECU, more like an add on. Where would it even go? For $182, it doesn't look that bad.

one of my friends put it on his mirage and he loves it. he can feel the throttle responce and little more power...but i have heard that there have been recalls on the acura/honda module becuz of over heating and too lean of gas..

my friend said it was really difficult to install it alone...

I just received an email from Chris Bristow of S.Effects Performance.

My question:

How effective is it in terms of horsepower? or What is a modest gain from this chip? I'm sorry that I'm asking a lot of questions. Final question: Does it come with instructions for install? Thanks.

Chris's Response:

I normally tell people 10-12 to be conservative, but we have had reports of 30+ being gained.

I'll write to him again regarding installation. I could really see myslef ordering this.

I just spoke to someone on the phone at S. Effects Performance. The guy said it Piggy-backs onto the ECU and comes with installtion instructions as well as a 1-800 number to JET should any tecnical issue arise. I wonder why not too mant people on the .org have thise on their max seeing that's it's cheaper and gives good gains for the price.

I can't beleive that I forgot to post the link:

The only people who know how to crack nissan ECUs is Jim wolf technology. the main ECU man over there (clark steppler) knows his $hit when it comes to NISsan ECUS. there was a thread on a different board and compared a JWT ECU and a JET unit. The jet unit did nothing. this was a few years back so maybe they got there act together. I have not seen a dyno chart saying the JET works...Butt dynos dont count!
