Quaife,Flywheel,PR Motor Mounts finally installed!!

Well I dropped off my car on Mon. morning to get my quaife, fidenza flywheel, and pr urethane mounts installed. I got it back the same afternoon. Here's my impressions of them.. Right off the bat I noticed that I could launch harder and there was basically no wheel hop when I got a little bit on the gas in 1st and 2nd. It's like having a fstb on the engine. There is engine vibration that you feel when the car in in neutral. But I'm sure I'll get used to it after a while. It's bareable to me but for some ppl it might not be. With the flywheel, revs climb faster now and drop a little faster. So I just have to shift faster.. But I like shifting slow because I like to hear the bov go psssshhtt... You blown guys know what I mean. My tires are kinda bald right now so I can't really test the quaife. But from just getting on the gas on the line I noticed that I get a lot less slippage and I can give it gas in turns and the car will just pull right through it.. These are recommended mods for everyone!!

Just wanted to share my experience

If you don't mind me asking, what did the install cost? I assume they did the flywheel and mounts for next to nothing because it's so easy after pulling the tranny. I'm wondering what a quaife install would cost.

Jeff is definately talented... I had the exact same job done a couple of weeks ago and he did it like it was nothing. The car runs great too. Still prepping it for a top secret project. Congrats man.

Ironically I had 3 other people ask me specifically about the Quaife right after I sold it. And to think a few months ago I had problems finding a buyer....

I knew it! I was near Vegas ready to pic it up two Saturdays ago, but when I called him to meet up, he said he sold it to a "buddy", so I couldn't get it.

****er could have told me, but of course that would have been too easy. Instead he waited for me to call him up. Luckily, I didn't make the 1.5hr trip to pick it up before I called like planned.

WAPOS.

BTW, he "sold" it to me for $200, how much did you pay?

Dayyyymn...what a fool(him not you!). He could have eBay'd that bish for lots more.

$200 cash in hand or $120($100 after shipping plus hassle of going to post office)

Oh well, maybe next time I'll keep my mouth shut in the Mod forum.

In the mod forum haaa? I saw it in the FS section twice and no one replied, I contacted him about it and sat it on it. No one seem to want it so I took it off his hand. I mean you said that you were going to get it but he never told me anything.

You, ohboiya, and I did at least. He told me he was tired of getting "jerked" around and wanted $200 for it. So I said I'll be there Saturday(2/22). Apparently, before Saturday he changed his mind, but didn't bother to let me know. No biggie, I wasn't going to install it for about 2yrs., so at least you're getting use out of it.

Unless someone comes up to me and says heres some money Ill buy your clutch along with the flywheel Ill drop the tranny and give it to them and that leaves me with no choice but to get a new clutch and install the alloy flywheel. I have two guys getting a 5 speed so they are seriously thinking of doing it. Good thing is that the clutch grabs very very hard and no break in period. Just Mark everything when it comes off and reinstall it the same way.

Sorry to jump in here,

But does anyone know the OEM part that the quaife replaces?

I want to know this because I would like to know what parts I need to order from the dealer. I was looking into buying an OEM HLSD and transplanting it, but apparently FWD cars don't have a separate differential assembly. Thanks in advance.
