Would you guys/gals be interested in raffling for an A'PEXi S-AFC II Limited Edition?

All proceeds will go towards Maxima.org's monthly server fee.

Just gauging interest... $5 to raffle.

There would be a set date for the drawing and if a certain number isn't met, we will refund $5 to all who entered.

Just gauging interest... I am able to purchase the S-AFC II LE, but I don't want to spend money on something that will not generate enough interest.

So far, it doesn't look like there's enough interest..... we'll see what happens during the next few days.

Just thought about something Kev, only issue here with the SAFCII is that it kinda puts it to a point where only boosted people would be interested, and even then, most likely half of them have some type of Air flow manipulator.

I think we should do this. Since the price of that SAFC runs around $325-350, keep the raffle open but offereing the winner a chance to pick one from a list of products. This will bring ALOT more raffle tickets cause you cover a broader spectrum of people.

Like this.

1. Ypipe (any year car)
2. Intake and UDP (any year)
3. FSTB and RSB (any year)
4. Springs and RSB (any year, choice of springs from maxspeed, eibach, progress, etc)
5. Painted front lip (any year choice from a few body kits)
6. Gauges (like boost, fuel, EGT)

Something like this, the above list is an example, but you should be able to tweak it around the same cost of the SAFCII you are getting. This would make it very nice and would give the ability for everyone to participate. And this same raffle can be repeated often.

Somewhat like BigDog's suggestion, why not call it a $xxx gift certificate to a maxima.org supporting business? I don't think the SFC is a bad choice though, even if I won it I could still make money selling it.

Not that anyone asked but...

The market for this is going to be smallish within the .org community. I suggest looking for other things that would appeal to a larger audience at the same price point. A set of KYB AGXs should appeal to a larger audience and can be bought, without haggling, for like $340 right now. In that case, at $10 a chance, you'd need just 35 entries to chime in. If you make it for an RSB or similar price-point option, things get even better for revenue generation.

We have audio dealers, electronics dealers, wheel dealers, and so on within this community. Perhaps someone is willing to provide equipment for either free or at a deep discount, that would make it feasible to sell $5 or $10 or $20 tickets for. (DAMMIT, I just got the hiccups!)

I like the idea but I suggest looking for something with broader appeal that you may be able to get a hold of for a lower price. Ya never know unless you ask so I'd hit up Brian Catts, Avalon, $Stealin, Courtesy Parts etc. with some sort of offer; perhaps reciprocal advertising space/time for a donated item.

Cheers,

JK

I kind of like Weasel's idea...with any advertising company. I am sure that all of us could find something . Well maybe not all of us....but definately the majority.

Wow I never thought of something like this. Great idea though. I am going to have to agree with others when they talk about the winner having more freedom in choosing what they win (within limitations of course). As long as the tickets remain under about $10 I think alot of ORG members would join in, especially if they had choices on what they won.

We should do this every couple of months.

BTW what method would be used to draw the names?

All good ideas.

A package deal would work too.

Each ticket would be given a number and all these numbers would be put into a computer program and it would randomly choose the number.

The drawing will be legit... rigging the drawing will only harm Maxima.org..........

So can Moderators participate also? Or would that looked "rigged" if I won? I win EVERYTHING! Even if it's not a good thing.

You know I had the Gift Certificate idea a LONG loooong time ago. I still think GC have the ULTIMATE flexibility and could generate revenue on a larger scale. Anyone looking for a gift for a Maxima "lover" will search the internet and probably end up here. Why do you think CarDomain shuts down for the shopping holidays? Hehe. People could order the GC online and the recipient could redeem it with anyone on the list of participating dealers such as Cattman, $tealin, Avalon, SWA, Got Rice?, etc... Plus, you could even hit up the dealers for a discount off the FACE value for the advertising thus making the .orgy even MORE money.
