wiring, which is which
wiring, which is which
I just got done installing an amp in my 5th gen, almost. I have one hang up. Im using the stock deck and i need to know which wire is which for the line out converter. I posted it here because i would get more views.
You lost me on asking which wire is for the line out convertor? A speaker-to-line level convertor is an external part you buy from an audio shop to take the speaker level outputs and make them into line level to put into an aftermarket amp where you use the stock head unit.
Now which wire you looking for? Because there is no Line lout converter wire on the head or the amp. When you say hang up, whats the problem? Amp wont turn on? No sound going to the speakers? Need more detail partner.

here is my situation. I bought an amp and components. Those are all installed. My hang up is that i dont know which wire are which on the stock harness to hook up the remote turn on, and the line out converter. I already bought a line out converter. Which converts lines into rcas

Green/White is the remote turn on wire you want to tap
FrontRight Out (+) - Blue/White

RearRight Out (+) - Blue
RearRight Out (-) - Pink
RearLeft Out (+) - Light Green

This is for the BOSE stock deck, are you in need of the Standard Deck wiring instead?

Now there is no true remote turn on wire. I see an Antenna signal wire, but dont know if that is a remote turn on. Cant tell but if you wanted to try it that color wire is Green/White. Now if that dont work, then use the ACC wire on the back of the headunit which is the Purple wire. The only drawback to that is that the amp is on regardless if the radio is on or off.
You can always buy a remote turn on unit that takes the signal from one of your speakers and activates the unit to allow the amp to turn on, not the greatest but gets around it not being on all the time.
