seem like everyone around me, esp my fellow maxima owner friends here at Purdue U, Indiana are going for looks for their rides.
been thinking...

$800 for stillen body kit
$200 - 400 for painting
(friend of mine just got her body kit painted for $200 by a body shop we know here in town)
$2000 - 4000 for rims and tires
(all depends on kind of rims and tires you wanna run)

whereas
Stillen supercharger $3600 (not sure myself, someone pls correct me, is this installed or buying straight from Stillen?)

so, I was thinking, why not go sleeper style (aka install supercharger) and get some roadkills. =)

greatly appreciate if someone can give me accurate pricing for supercharger kit.

thanks and best regards

well...you can't just spend 3600 on a S/C and call it the day. you're going to need:
better brakes
tranny work
some time on the dyno to tune it...

that stuff really adds up.

where with your body kit...you got the whole package w/ rims..you're basically done.

depends what you want

Stillen s/c is about $3,600 from Stillen direct but if you order it from the shop going to install it you might pay that amount for the s/c and installation.

I would suggest some better rubber to go along with that sleeper torque.

Wow, I was j/k, bro. A little BBS-intra-Big Ten rivalry. Several of us here are either still attending college or big college football fans, and every year right around now lots of smack-talk starts. If you don't care to participate, thats cool, but....geez. Don't get bent, my man - its all good.

As for the S/C idea over anything else, you do have to consider the added costs for improvements to the car that have to be made so that it can handle the S/C. Depending on if you can do the work yourself or not, it is going to cost a lot more than the $3300 price for the S/C by itself.

I just have to include:
Go CHICO STATE! (California State Univ, Chico for you non CA folks)

We may not have a football team, but we can out drink your school. J/K

According to statistics, we consume 2% of all Coors light sold in America. . . For a school of only 15,000 I think that is waaaaay too much.

No, $3600 was Autogear's installed price for the V1 SC kit. The V2 kit pricing is different but there have been enough problems with it to make me recommend that people wait to have it installed until some bugs are worked out.

tclee..

...the V1 SC kit was being offered for $3600 installed by Autogear. Pricing for the new V2 kit is uncertain at this time plus you'd prolly want to wait until they work out the recent problems that people have been having with it.

The approach I took for my car was to make it look as stock as possible but perform as well as possible. I don't want to attract any attention...esp from the LAW!
