Stillen strikes again

I went online to stillen.com and purchased the Stillen Battery tie down. I know its a bit overpriced, probably not worth much more then $15-20, but I could not find any on ebay and I thought it would add a nice touch to the engine bay and my red top optima.
First, it took them 24 days from the date of order to ship it. I called numerous times and when I was finally able to talk to someone, they said that they had run out and were in the process of machining some new ones. Once I received it, I saw on the invoice that they ended up charging me $3 more for UPS shipping, then what I had been quoted online.
This is really a shady way of doing business.

On a sidenote, once installed, the red lettering looks real nice against the red top optima. I tightened the whole thing very hard, that shouldn't cause any harm to the battery, right? I had a bad experience were my last battery tie down came undone and fell into the engine. luckily, it didn't hit anything vital and my gf saw it right before I was about to make a run down the track.

good man Jeff

You shouldn't tighten it that tight, just until its snug.

Yep, now just imagine that pic but with a red top optima.

As for the tightening, i could have tightened it some more, but something would bend.
Right now, its all solid, it won't budge. real sweet.

I put a small folded towel under my battery to act like a split washer and has some resistance so the nuts dont get loose.
