I some how burned up the female fitting to my 9004 bulbs in the headligt. (where the blub plugs in ) Has anyone done this and how did you go by fixing this? I called the Nissan dealership in Temple, but they said it would cost me $739.40, due to the fact that it is a engine harness. Can anyone help me please!!

Thank You
Todd

p.s. Is anyone going the the nissan meet, in June ,in Kansas City , Mo.
I have already set it up to take my vacation that week. maybe we can get a train started up that way.

Later,

um...what kind of bulbs are you running? if they are higher than stock wattage that is the problem and its $$$ to fix it once the harnesses have been melted. i'm sure a private mechanic or shop would be less expensive than the dealer but it still wont be cheap. a couple of guys have had that same problem but i cant remember exactly how much they said it cost them.

come on...

Go to the auot parts store and buy a neww 9004 end for $5.00. Get your soldering iron out and put the end out and put some heat shrink tubing on it and you are done. Then don't run theose dumb bulbs again tillyou get the upgraded harness....

I was able to fix the problem, by going to Auto Zone and buying a new 9004 socket, and installing it. Make sure that you line the wires up and test it out before connect them, for good. I went to a local stereo shop and got the butt connectors, to finish the job.

I hope this help if not email me back.

Todd
