$700 for a cat, HAHA, that's the funniest thing I've heard in a while.

That's the normal price for a CAT from any OEM maker.

Welcome to reality?

I wasn't saying Nissan's prices were outrageous, just outrageous in general. My dad paid $1,100 for one for his 740iL.

I just think it shows how bad the gouge is.

I think an oem y-pipe in Canada is around Cdn$1K. With the exchange rate, that equates to US$600. I don't know how much you'd pay for duty and other fees but shopping Canadian (esp. if you live close to the border) might be worth considering.

Hey brian, I believe the Random Technology cats are $180 at http://www.custommaxima.com
Never buy an oem cat, they are evil!

If that doesn't work out, you can borrow mine, assuming a cat off a 95 works for you.

95's are different, they have an O2 plug where as 97's don't, but I just need it to pass visual so I could prolly use it.

At any rate, I got ym friend to bring over my old one from my parent's hosue.
