Dropped the tranny...

Spin the shaft and I get marble sounds. Rebuild eh?

How much should I expect to pay for a rebuild if I bring the tranny in myself?

what were the symptoms b/f it went? just curious...120k and im just a waiting for mine 2 go...

You can do the rebuild yourself if it is just the bearings. Look at my sig How to instructions are there, they will apply to the same thing your doing.

Well I'm a 5spd so I dunno what your symptons would be.

Jay how would I know if it's just the bearings?

I had posted on the 'other' forum when it was all goin down a week or so ago. But basically drivin down street...come to a light tranny wont release out of 5th gear. Finally I get it to release...light turns green....tranny wont go into ANY gear.

There were no problems up till that point, no noises, no sticking in gear, no nothing...

But then again the trannys got 145k I would've done a rebuild anyway when I get my spare engine to build up. Stuffs just always gotta happen when you dont have the cash though.
