I hate nyc period. this will be my 6th time re-painting my lip.....yes #6

1. when i got the lip
2. 1 month i scraped it on those blocks at pho-bang restuarant
3. they stole my lip in manhattan so i baught the whole kit
4. my side body-kit fell off so i had it painted and the lip too from normal wear+ tear
5. less than 6 months ago i had the front lip re-painted cause it had too many rock chips.
6. i just bottomed out in a 3 feet pot hole/ yes 3feet wide and maybe 1 feet deep/ it cracked my front lip with a hole the size of a dime.
i'm going to re-paint the whole kit again including the bumpers front and rear. another 850 down the drain......@#$%^&*

 

step 1 to keeping your newest paint fresh and safe:

move out of NYC.

step 2:

if you cant move out of NYC, stop driving your car.

 

 

umm 6+, painted the car 4 times, and lip repainted 3 more times when it was white.. lucky #7 and possibly going to #8

 

yeah I cracked my stillen front lip.. now i have to call stillen and fight with them to get it replaced

 

I cracked my front lip into pieces like 2 weeks ago.. Had to order another lip

 

I hope you don't drive your TL01 into any potholes.

 

OMG people stop wasisting money, take the damn thing off and don't spend 850 dollars, get a turbo.

can't lower the car, can't put a body kit on the car, can't put big wheels on the car..

dam thai - 6 times anyone here ever see dado's bimmer on dtmpower.net? he has some sorta metal thing under the lip to prevent damage when he bottoms out, maybe the maxima folks should start doing this as well.

Yes I have seen dado's steel protectant for the bottom of his bumper. I don't know if anyone can mold it like he did especially the shape the stillen lip has because his bumper is straight for the most part but not a bad suggestion.

what dif does it make with 19" and my lip? it's not going to help me nor will it hurt me when i bottom out?

dado's lip looks custom made. i no like. i think a memeber meccanoble has something like that.looks out of place with the metal on the bumper/ too rice.

 

if you are hitting huge pot-holes like 3ft wide by 1ft deep not only will you mess up your lip but there a better chance of you bending a wheel and a nice bubble on your tire if not a blow out. don't forget it's not 1 wheel that goes into the pot-hole but 2.

hey not only NYC it happens everywhere i had this rental in seattle that someone made a black mark on its a good thing it wasnt my car and they didnt notice it
