dang that was hella fun. it was 730pm when i was almost home from school. there was a 6spd 540 to the right of me at the light(i saw how the car launched). i knew it would be a waste of maxima thrill to hand his *** from 1st - 2nd gear so we rolled...neither of us punched it until i was onto 3rd and he gunned it. the thing was that my lane merges onto his lane so this sucker didn't want me to pass him. then i gunned it at 3rd and he took me by 1 - 2 feet. all the way about 1/2 mile i kept up with him on 3rd. i looked over and the guy looked like a doctor/grandpa or sum bag. the moral was that i'm still bone stock and have yet to do a major mod and he was a 6spd V8. i think made him sweat. so much for $50,000

anybody know if i can swap in a 350Z ecu with the vq35?

that guy must not know how to drive, my friend has a 540 6 speed and it had like a city block on my car and he had over 3 car lenghs of my friend 1995 m3

 

540's have very torquy motors, gotta love em- 6spd just makes it better!

 

They have around 282-290HP and 310TQ... Mind you BMW tends to underrate their engines... That car is fast as hell and the torque is gutwrenching...

 

I have 1 thing to say.

 

The 50k is for awesome looks, excellent drivetrain, Luxury- and the list goes on and on.

And you will get TEN times more b1tches in the bimmer.

correct me if am wrong, but from what i thought, i 540i, 6speed should have taken him by a few cars??

 

I got my @ss handed to me against my friend's 540i. we went from 60-120 and he had around 3 car lengths on me...I'm auto with basic bolt ons...

 

What kind of Maxima do you have and what mods?

A stock 540i 6 speed would beat a 6 speed Maxima, if it was properly driven.
