i have a line that comes out of my transmission, i donno if its a vacuum line or just a breather line, so i though id take a pic and put it up for some info, when im on the highway driving like 50 in 5th gear and step on the gas i can watch the tach revv up 3000rpm or so then come back down and im worred its the clutch, but could this cause that to happen if the line is a vacuum line?

Is it located near the top of your valve cover and is not plugged up to anything? If so, then yes, that is the breather hose. It comes out of the tranny and has an open end to it....

 

yea thats where it comes out, it comes up to about the valve cover and doesnt go into anything, i figured it was just a breather, but just wanted to make sure it shouldnt be hooked to anything,
