This has been another learning experience for me, a valuable one I think.

Ok, so one of my tires blew the other day, and my other 3 tires were very bald, so I decide it's time for a new set of Kumho's. I went to a local chain (Merchants) and I was gonna need close to 500 bucks for the tires. I'd rather pay $250 more and get the rims as well from discounttire.com. So I order the fittipaldi Avus+ and Kumho's from them and I'm so excited and all. My brother was happier than I was since he was gonna get my 98SE wheels for his 2kGXE. It was snowing but we decide to swap the rims, so my 98SE wheels were going into the 2kGXE, and I was getting his hubcaps, just for 3 days until I get my new wheels.
So we start jacking up the car in the snow and our hands were freezing and stuff. After swapping 3 wheels, there was one left. But this dam security nut wouldnt budge. It was so tight. Whatever shop did my last tire rotation didnt bother to torque it to spec, because I know 85 ft/lb isn't that hard to unbolt. So my genius brother decides to kick the wrench, and we discovered that part of the security nut was broken after he kicked it. We aligned the key to the nut and tried to turn it, but it kept slipping. It was panic time. I didnt know what to do because something like this never happened before. So I unjack the car and took the car to a local tire shop to see if the airwrench will do the trick. At that point, my car had 3 hubcap wheels and 1 SE wheels. The car at the shop tried the airwrench, but not only did it not work, the impact of the air gun had grinded my lock key to a smooth surface. I was like oh **** what am I gonna do. Not only was it impossible to take out that remaining SE wheel, now how was I gonna take out the 3 hubcap wheels I just put in to put in my new Fittipaldi's without a key?
But fortunately, the guys at the shop tried did something and they took out all 4 security nuts. It was just brute force of the air wrench. That sucker is a monster. I dont know how anything can grip the circular wall of the lock nut, but it did and it took it out. It cost me $67 bucks.
No more wheels lock from now on.

So my brother goes back to my parents who are 2 hours away next day. He goes back with my SE wheels and he's very happy. The new wheels were shipped to my dad because I used his credit card. When the wheels arrive, my brother was gonna take it with him to school and meet me at the school. So I drive 4 hours to Virginia Tech, and there it was, my beautiful new Fittipaldi's were sitting in my brother's living room, fitted with Kumho Supra 712's. It was beautiful. So we jack up my car, take out the ugly a$$ hubcap and put in the fittipaldi, only to find out that the OEM lugnuts I had were too dam big for the fittipaldi's. At that point, I didnt know anyhing about tuner lug nuts. I didnt even know such thing existed. I was about to go crazy. I was just about to put in new wheels after all this trouble and I dont have the freakin nuts. So I search all the local shops and nobody has it. I do some research, search the maxima forum, and finally found out what tuner nuts are. I'm waiting for the nuts right now. It's supposed to get here wednesday. Oh yeah, and I got laid off last week too. It's been one hell of a week. I dont care about being laid off, but I want my new wheels on my car right now!!!

I hope none of you make the same mistakes I made. And if you're ordering new wheels, order the nuts with them too!!

Hmm, that's weird, tire rack ALWAYS, sends new lug nuts with my rim orders. Did it for me twice, and my girl friend as well. Something's fishy there.

As for wheel locks, get them. Don't let this one exprience stop you from putting some security on the rims.

That's why I only deal with the Tire Rack. They send everything you will need. I've ordered 2 sets of wheels and tires from them and I've always gotten lug nuts and hubcentric rings.

That sucks that Discount Tire left you hanging. Atleast they could have informed you that you would need a different style lug nut. Did you look at every wheel to make sure the lugs weren't taped to the inside of the rim? That's how the Tire Rack does it.

He says he got them from Discount Tire, so maybe they have a different lugnut policy....

Something to add about tuner lugs->

Only one company that I know of makes tuner lug locks. McGuard. I had my Monsoons for about a year before these locks came out.

Shing,

The 13/16 - 13/16 adapter that Tire Rack included to extend the hex head out to the front of the wheel has broken.....I'm not sure where to get another one....Any ideas?

Gorilla also makes some good ones, which I have heard are just as good, if not better than McGuard lugs.
I've got a set of them on my enkeis.. They cost me about $45(after tax) for the full set + key for them.

you don't really need security locks with these as they all require the key. it'd be a lot of broken sockets before you got all 20 lugs off to steal these rims.
The holes in these rims are so small, I couldn't fit my regular socket in them, so I had to go the same route as you. here's a shot of them:
