to be installed this thursday.i will address this. first of all fyi, jwt's pressure plates are 750kg, or 1653.4500 lbs.,they offer a organic clutch plate, also metal 1 side(pressure plate side)clutch plate.and for all out racing all metal. i bought 1 metal side.425.00. because my clutch(stock and centerforce duel friction, for maxima the duel friction clutch plate is not metal, for alot of other applications it is metal,if it was ,the max may have benifited from it more, dunno) would slip sometimmes when excelerating,at launch and sometimes on the street.the s/c-er is under-estimated(my opion). if any clutch should work well, why are there problems. well i went ahead and jumped in and got the 1 metal side because i didn't want to take another chance and get a under-power clutch,if u get my drift.is that 60's or 70's(get my drift.)i will say this, if the pressure plate is a good product, i would like to bet that the organic clutch plate would be a winner for s/c max for street only. but for the drags and ss street,i will need a metal plate. i want a winner, no excuses.i want the car to perform the way it should.i will let u all know how it works out.i hope for the best.but i will be honest.i am committed to be for real.either it can do it or it can't.if it can't it is garanteed for 90 days.if it slips i will return it,they said it will work.i will see. TALK IS CHEAP.so i'll stop for now. i will let everyone that gives a flying leap know how it works out, so i am out for now.later ps. the metal side of the clutch plate has 8 metal tabs or whatever u want 2 call them.

Is this clutch still holding with the nitrous?

How streetable is it?

Has any one else tried this set up?

I'm not sure how to answer you. I have had the Cattman/JWT Stage II clutch on my Maxima, with an aluminum flywheel, for a month or two, now. (How does this set-up compare with what was described earlier in the thread?) This set-up behaves differently than the stock combo, in that it is more "on/off": not much feathering permitted. In fact, if my footwork is not exactly right I get a little chatter from off idle to 1st gear. Shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, and on up to 5th, is not problematical. (I notice the chatter in stop-n-go traffic most.) Once I release the clutch pedal, the clutch simply does *not* slip. I'll have my N2O (NOS/JWT dry 65-shot) system installed in January. I'll report results at that time, if anyone is interested... Thanks.
