quick thought/question(s) about gauges...

i put in indiglo gauges a few weeks ago and they were sticking, so i tried fixing and some still stick a little. this bothers me but i said screw it and put everything back together cuz it just got me mad so i try to forget about it. my question is, did any of you take out the stock gxe/gle black gauges and put in the new ones? or did you all just overlay them? i'm thinking maybe if i ever try to fix again, can i take off the needles and stock ones so they'll lay more flat? and is that a bad idea with the needles and all? any comments?

Dont take the needles off cause it will mess with calibration. Simply sand off the edge of the needle and it will run smootly.
