Another 4th gen N/A auto in 14s

Nealoc187, Max2000JP,I30TMikeD and I took a trip to race at Byron today. Well we all ran in the 14s or better with Neal doing exceptionally well. My personal best....

60' 2.373
330 6.437
1/8 9.717@76.24
1000 12.558
1/4 14.964@94.63

Best trap of the day was a 14.967@95.05(60' 2.394). Mods included y-pipe, intake, and catback. Was running stock 99 se rims and tires on 35 psi.

14.9 with your mods and a 2.3 60ft? is this track downhill or something?

Adam's car is just fast. He ran 15.6 @ 92 last year with a 2.7 60' time at a different track, a track that is notoriously slow.

I ran a 14.91X with a 2.37 60' in my brothers car. If the car could get off the line it would be interesting.

Get that launch down and you should be seeing mid 14's fairly easily.

Have you made any passes on just "D"? I got my best times leaving it in "D". When I manually shifted, I notice dmy trans took longer to shift. I see it, let the transmission do whats its uppose to do, shift on its own. THis is just IMHO and based on my results.

Consider some slick and you will reduce that 60ft. 60ft will make you or break you.

What are you launching at? I use to torque flash @ 1700rpms on stock TC.

Yep, that time is VERY fast for an auto. I am not positive, but I don't think 96sleeper hit 14's without his ecu or vb?

nice time!

I sure hope he does not get an better at his launch. He will be giving me a run for my money if he does.

Congrats.

That mph is very high for those mods, I didn't start running over 92-93 mph until I got the VI. And I never ran a 14.9 before without a 2.2x 60 ft time. You car might be a freak..or the track is a little downhill.

At least the track doesn't go uphill like the one at Maxus 2001.

I shifted the car at around 6200 each time and brake torques were all different. I ran the car 22 times and found out shifting yourslef is the only way to go. Leaving it in drive i couldnt do better than 15.2@93.....shifting myself i was running no worse than 15.1@almost 94 or better each time. I had four runs in the 14s once i started shifting manually.

His mods are as it says in his sig, no more no less. He's been looking for a new car for like a year now. He's not going to spending more money on this one.

BTW...The UDP is not on his car. He has had it for about a year and never installed it. I bet with a UDP and better 60' times his car COULD run a 14.5
