What's better than placing at Hot Import Nights?

Having Nissan pick your car out to show in their booth.

Large picture, please be patient while it loads.

Nissan asked Vision Entertainment to look for a Nissan that is showing in HIN so they found my car, which was parked with a bunch of my friends. I was hesitant on going at first because I didn't want to leave the group, but they convinced me to go since it will give good publicity to Maxima.org and to their shop. :-)

I agreed to go, but the guys from Vision Entertainment had to go back and verify that there was an extra space for my car in Nissan's booth. Another set of guys from VE came back and looked for a Maxima, but they saw maxboost00's car, which was parked 2 cars behind mind, and asked them to pull to the Nissan's booth in the main hall.

A few minutes later, the original guys came back and said that the 2nd group picked out the wrong car, so maxboost00 pulled back in and the VE guys escorted me to Nissan's booth in the main hall. Sorry about that Frankie. :-( It would've been nice if they had us both in there.

Well, they parked my at the prime spot of Nissan's booth. I was in front of APC's pink/purple Sentra SE-R, that SE-R was in front of the Nismo Orange 350Z.

Why was my spot the prime spot? Because Christine, the model in Nissan's booth, use my car as the backdrop for pictures the whole night. The line for autographs was right in front of my car, so that was cool.

I don't have a picture of Christine, but she modeled for the silver 350Z that can be found on the web. I hope I'm not butchering her name... Christine, Kristine...

All in all, it was a good night. Tiring because we couldn't sit in the booth or in the car, but well worth having an opportunity to show in Nissan's booth at Hot Import Nights. Thank you Nissan and thanks to all who stopped by and said hi.

Is the rim in there to hold up the hood?

Or is that just the way playas play?

i like how you can post a huge pic like that , and we can not even click the "reply to post" thing to yours , because it immediately tells us the pic is too big - when we cant even edit it out

car is lookin good

"but they convinced me to go since it will give good publicity to Maxima.org" just what the site needs, more traffic and HIN ricers

You can post pictures over 50kb too, Hal. A handful of us figured it out.

People were definitely surprised that a Maxima can be turbo'ed. Lots of "have you dyno'ed yet" and "what does it run on the track."

Too many people around to take a picture of her alone with the car. I will ask the photographer for pictures.

I don't believe I won anything... by the time we got to the announcements area, they were in the 4 doors wild category.

Winning HIN wasn't my goal this time around since it was our first time entering a car show. Forum members wished me luck in winning the event, but I told them we were there to get exposure... and we got it in a very big way. In the long run, this experience might be better than placing 1st because it has opened up a lot of doors for the community and for us.

Guess what I just ordered? Thank you thebigsadler (Jason) for the contact info...

The trunk feels empty since the only things in there are 1) Stillen RSTB and 2) Optima Battery with ground wires

The 15 lb bottle should do the trick for now...

Weren't you guys betting on when the tranny will go boom when I had the 3.125" pulley on the automagic? Then another bet on when the tranny and motor will go boom when I had the 2.87" pulley.

This time it may be for real... *BOOM*
