What was the proceedure for taking off your bumper? I know about the 4 screws at the top of it, but it seems it is also attached somewhere around the corner light or even the headlight.

I really want to know how to do that. Where does one get that mesh? And can you just like tape it to the back or what? Seems like a pretty easy at homemod that we can do, but give us some info!

1981 Yamaha Heritage Special Classic 400cc only 4,000 original miles was black I stripped it down and painted it Emerald Metallic Green, electric start and kick start all original....paid only $500.00 cash and bought new clutch cable...runs perfect keeping it for antique time....

You can got to home depot or lowes for some rain gutter mesh real cheap by the sheet I used household ac filter mesh...use body glue or fiberglass it to the bumper...

So is that the stuff Slickismax used? Howdo i take off the bumper to get it on? Can i remove the mesh if need be?
Seems like a pretty darn quick mod, unless removing that front bumper takes forever...?

I have no idea what Slickismax used so I cannot speak for him, taking off the bumper it is easier to work with the mesh while the bumper is off,and the mesh can be taken back off.

Okay, I used the rain gutter gaurd at Home Depot. To cut out the black plastic pieces behind the bumper on the 95-96, I just used a kitchen Knife and cut in that groove thats connecting the black piece to the painted surface on the bumper. To attach the mesh, I used Bondo Glass, also from Home Depot. I found out later that Wings West uses hot glue, so next time I am going to use hot glue. Also, spray the mesh with clear coat before you attach it...this keeps the mesh from fading as fast. Without the clear coat it will look dull after a few months. Any other questions, just feel free to email me!
