a show is a show, a maxima is a maxima. Seems apples to apples to me

 

import show in the NE vs what looks like a Domestic Classic/Antique show

apple...orange

classifications are way different and the competition is totally different.

 

If i do recall .. William did well at NOPI just like Pinky did well at NOPI .. so we know that william can hang with the big boys.. and Carlisle Compact Car Jam isn't any bigger than the Down South Shows

so thats an apple to an apple and he still has more trophies

Just to clarify for people actually reading this i'm not taking anything away from William (congrats BTW) and i'm simply defending Jeff but the import scene here in the NE is just rediculous and insanely competitive.

In regards to NOPI Jeff was flat out robbed. The judges judged our cars as we pulled in and I believe they hit Jeff's first and the cars were still dirty from the previous nights rain. IIRC correctly Matt's car was mysteriously skipped and judged later in the day.

anyway..apples to oranges in my book. I wish we had little shows around here i can roll into and know i'm leaving w/ a trophy...

remember I got to the show late Saturday afternoon.......after 2:00 pm...

I was not judged until Sunday...at about 12:00 noon.....

in any event i don't show for the trophies. I have a couple and I just started showing late July last year. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

 

i remember and i wish we got there later so the judges didn't catch us (i had no shot so i didn't care.) the cars were just not in a show condition when they were judged.

i think this year i will roll in later

Shut it Chris. So if you're not entering your car in shows to win trophies then why are you entering it? In hopes that you don't win a trophy? You just go to look at other cars? If that's the case then don't enter, just be a spectator. You show to see how much improvement your car needs? Then why don't you ask someone who enters comps and wins what areas you likely need to step up.

You don't enter to win just like the Eagles don't play to win.

you act like i'm hating on william. everyone keeps referring to the haters and what not when i'm not hating on william but DEFENDING JEFF. cut me a fricken break.

I don't show to win trophies. I show to show off what i have and what i've accomplished. It's not about trophies because in the grand scheme of things trophies don't matter. what matters is you like what you have and other people can appreciate that.

moddifying cars is a hobby not a job so you can take your eagles comment and shove it where the sun don't shine...

 

i can relate with Chris defending Jeff because regardless of how great it is that Metallic win's alot of trophies, and more than jeff, you don't need to come out of the blue and state something like that for no reason, i'll be honest, i think jeff's car looked incredible before the accident, and if entered it would have won many trophies, if not all the trophies he entered......but mad props to Metallic for winning once again....for a moderator i think Sprint likes to stur up some trouble

 

Exactly, I won first at Nopi and they didnt even send me my trophy. Did I call them to see what happened.............no, its just a trophy. I was pleased that I got first and the way my car looked That is all that matters.

shows are shows.. i'd like to come up north and compete against maxima's moreso then all nissan's, that seems to be my running gig down here is I go againsts sentras, 240s, altimas, 300zx, new 350zs, and so on.. even skylines like at Tuner Bash.
