Someone has emailed me regarding installing a CAI on their 95 Maxima. Here is their question:

There are some o2 sesors near the throttle body since mine is a 95. I've decided on purchasing that Cattman CAI, and I don't know if and where to put them when I install the CAI.
There is a sensor to the left of the MAF sensor mounted vertically that is the one that I was mentioning. It has a copper colored top on it.

Anyone know which sensor this is? I only delt with the MAF sensor when installing my CAI. Thanks for your help.

 

air flow sensor??? just colored funny.. there sholdn't b nething other than that.. maybe intake temp.. but i highly doubt it..

 

When I installed my CAI in my 97 there was a hole in the first pipe fitting (the one with the tube extensions) for a sensor, maybe they are talking about that sensor. Someone said that it's an idle air temperature sensor, not sure though?

 

anywhere near the TB. It could be the ambient air temp sensor. That could be mounted most anywhere.

 

DOH! I did mean the temp sensor, not the MAF sensor. I was wondering about the 02 sensor b/c I didn't see anything looking like an o2 near the MAF.
