Do it yourself Navigation

Yesterday's TV screen thread got me thinking. What all would I need to make a navigation system that looks stock. I don't want to remove the stock stereo or get a Garmin.

Here is what I have so far:

1)Screen
2)Associated wires
3)DVD player?
4)GPS antennae?

How can I do this cheap, but put it together myself?

I'm looking at a 4 inch screen right now that will fit perfectly in place of the change holder. I have seen GPS antennae on sites as well. I'm just trying to figure out how to tie them all together. Perhaps an in car pc?

yeah in car pc would work. you can get a USB gps reciever... plug it into your PC and run some mapping software. It is complicated however... but if you got the moolah, it can be pretty cool. u can play dvds, mp3s, blah blah blah so many possibilities
