New transmission is in

My mechanic friend finished putting in my transmission yesterday. I can not believe how smooth my car is again. I had the transmission rebuilt last time it went out and it only lasted 11,000 miles. I had terrible chatter every time I let out the clutch especially in first gear. The shifter was very hard to engage in gear, I almost had to force it sometimes just to get moving. All of those problems are completely gone! The car shifts so smooth and effortlessly. It is a night and day difference. The shop I took the car to when I had the rebuild was very reputable. I wonder if the transmission is just never right after you have it rebuilt? If anyone wonders, I got the transmission from www.car-parts.com for $800 and spent $200 having it installed. The transmission had 87,000 miles on it. I can't believe the difference now. It's almost like a new car. Just thought I'd share my experience.
