Anyone ever lose their front lip while driving?
So there I am driving home from school this afternoon on the NJ turnpike. I'm doing about 75 (nothing illegal) in the left lane when all of a sudden I realize there is a little extra noise in the cabin. I check the windows, they're all up. I check the sunroof, it's closed. I turn off the radio, that noise is still there. Then all of a sudden BAAM, I ran something over. I look in my rear-view mirror to see what it was and I see my front lip go under another car and the jump about 6 feet into the air traveling about 75 mph. I'm in total shock. I pulled over to see if there was any damage and from what I saw in my mirror there wasn't an accident as a result of this. I just thank god that there wasn't a major accident or anything that resulted from this.
As far as the lip being secure. I've had no problems with it since I put it on sometime late last year.

the mangled lip is somewhere that I don't know ... I was traveling at 75 mph and so was everyone else and I ended up in the middle lane, so I weighed my options - option 1) back up while on the shoulder and try and jump out into the middle lane to get it 2) say **** it and just move on

Most would be angry at this, good to see you have a sense of humor about the subjet. I would have chosen option 2 as well if I was on a highway. Hopefully ill never have to make that choice and my front lip just stays in place.

Those were the times though...when Maxima.org used to be a community of supportive Maxima owners. Now, it's just a battle of wits and power. (Much love to kEvIn-G though )

Bastards like YOU...cause me a cracked ninja kit, and a busted windshield. SOMEONES front lip hit me on the freeway and at 80+mph impact it isnt pretty. But yeah, sorry to hear about your loss, and i know its accidental. But yeah, mebby we need to find a better way to stick it on.
