the first first maxima

while i was driving a couple of days ago i saw this old dustan that had the maxima name on it does anybody know anything about that?

The first Maximas were called Datsun 810 Maximas. They came out in 1981.

My girlfriend had an 82, we drove it from San Fran to Tucson 2 summers ago with 200+ thou on in, virtually died pulling into Tucson, but she sold it for 500 bucks. No power, terribly uncomfortable, but a classic

My dad had one of those in Saudi. A friend of mine in England had a Nissan Bluebird 4door coupe, which I believe is the Gen2 Maxima.
