I have a 97 auto... I have a CEL and I was gonna try a spare 96 auto ECU to see if that is the problem.

All I want to do is start the car a few times.

I am trying to figure out if there will be any damage done. I know I might get a CEL with MANY codes. BUT if the code I have now is gone then

I am just trying ot aviod causing MORE problems trying to fix 1 problem

you will get an 0707 .rear bank o2 sensor...

I think you'll also lose some power in the lower rpm ranges.
