Mine continues to smell to this day and its been 2months. Anytime it rains and it gets the wrap wet and then it starts heating that, it smells like cookies again.

Yeah it will carry a pretty strong odor the 1st week. After a few weeks you dont notice it much though.

i'm going to say probably not. there will always be a slight scent to it.

just a side note..u are aware that header wrap will promote rusting on the pipes right?

how far down did you wrap the exhaust Lawrence??

because every time it gets wet its gonna smell like booty... so maybe wrap only the upper portions of the exhaust??

if you dont like the burning smell

I used DEI Exhaust Wrap. That stuff actually smells like slightly burned sugar to me. Smells actually pretty good, IMO. heheh. I wrapped my Y, but only like 1/5th of my B pipe (cuz 50ft of wrap does not go very far)...

but on stainless steel?

Malik - I only did the ypipe as of now but I was thinking of doing the rest of the catback since im not worried about rusting the stock bpipe and I got like 30 more feet of wrap left. I used the brand cool-tec or something like that

Which company's wrap did you use??

I was also thinking of wrapping too but someone mentioned in the winter time, salt powder might work its way into the wrap around the lowere portion of the y-pipe & b-pipe.

So we got smells ranging from booty, pho, cookies to bread??
