HOW do I find out what size RIMS I have????

hey I know that I have Konig Monsoon 17inch rims. I was wondering how I can find out what width they are. Is it supposed to say it somewhere on the rim? Inside maybe? I need to buy tires and someone told me that recommended tire size for my size rims would be 235-45-17 but I dont know how they knew that without knowing how wide my rims are.

HHHHHHHEEEEEEEEELP.

konigs may say on the inside of the wheel... i think my tantrums did, but also monsoons only came in x7 or x8 according to konig. check what size tire you have right now (it says on it, 235-45-17 or whatever)... if it is 245 or higher then you know its 99% 8inch wide... if its smaller, then it could really be either depending how far out the tire sticks in/out, etc. for some reason i would put my money on 7inch wide..... !

then once you know that and are deciding on a tire, a good place to check to make sure you speedo wont be off is http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

It should be stamped on the inside of the rim. Most rims I have seen are.
