Hey guys I need some help....just got a ticket about an hour ago

Im definately pleading not guilty but I need some opinions

Im basing my defense on the fact that the police office radar'd me at 50 in a 30 1 block before a signal which was red....it was a really small block and I hardly think I was going fifty when I saw a red light coming

Secondly...I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS HAS ANY RELEVANCE....he posted the color on my car was Grey "GY"...Im assuming that means grey=P....when my car is black..."superblack" for the nissanheads=P...Can I base my defense on neglect of the officer because he didnt even post the correct color of my car?...i know...its a long shot...but its still an error

THIRD....there was a minivan in front of me doing the exact same speed who ran the yellow light before I got stopped by the red...so why the hell did he pull me over?
anyway...thanks for your time

Nope. The color ain't gonna do jack. Maybe if the street, date or your name is wrong then MAYBE.

I only thing I can see is how close was the mini-van to you? If the officer was not using lidar, you might be able to say "there was another car to close to me so I don't see how the officer could determine 100% that I was my car's speed registering on the radar" If the van was a good distance away, then you might be screwed!

You could always try suponeaing the officer and hope he doesn't show up. Worked for me once.

don't think it matters

On my last ticket the officer didn't even fill anything out, only the 9 digit license number, and the plate number. He even checked off his state when my license was from another state. I think it's one of those things where the odds are stacked in their favor. Sometimes when you plead not guilty you have to pay the full amount of the ticket plus an additional fee--varies by state. Others you don't even know how much the fine is. Out of curiousity, what is the success rate of people beating tickets? Everyone I know including myself just pay them, their an annoyance but I ain't got the time to deal with them.

Defensive driving and deferred adjudification (sp?) work to avoid points for ya. Just make sure you don't get multiple tickets in the same city while youre on probation
