Ohhhhhh, THAT's the group deal you're talking about!

I knew that. hehehehehe

I remember it now, just haven't seen anything recent on it so I forgot about it. My boss has some connections at Porterfield anyway, so I may be able to get them at that price if the GD does end sometime..
oh well. thanks for reminding the rest of us dummies!

You mean the ones that are still in my garage in the shipping boxes?

the frame rails on them are too narrow, so they're gonna require some fabrication to get them to work..
I'm still trying to figure out how I want to do it, then I'll get to work on it..
the fun part is I've been rewiring my sister's entire house on the weekends, so I don't have much time to work on the car. it'll be mid-spring before I can ever get a chance to do everything I need.
(rebuild calipers, new rotors, finish seats, replace fender, timing belt, front crank seal, blah blah blah)

for these brakes.....

They really are superb from what I've heard from others. Unlike EBC greenstuffs, Porterfield has a good automotive reputation and makes a fine product.

If you don't mind the brake dust, these will serve you well. If you hate brake dust (like myself), Axxis Metalmasters are a better setup, although at-the-limit-braking will not compare to the Porterfields....

Really, these are our only 2 serious brake pad choices on the market....Everything else just don't measure up....

Do they have a deal on the their rotors also? I'd like to get cross drilled ones.

Re: Thanks

Do they carry slotted rotors also? Do the pads dust more than the OEM ones? Cause the OEM dust didn't bother me that much. Probably cause I wash my car every week!

Re: Re: Thanks

also reminder:

these pads DO dust, (thanks bill!), like a ****

get DISC BRAKE UN-SQUEAK gel from pepboys prior to install. it'll save you the cringe feeling. :P

porterfields are the best pads imho, really really give a good bite when hard braking.

if you're off auto-x or track racing, i'd suggest the R4 race pads.. im not sure if they're $118 tho.

cheap? me? of course!
but FYI i run Porterfields front and rear now. doing a brake job for someone. they don't need both axles so just need prices for separate axles.
