Can Anyone Help?

I'm not an expert at cars, so I wont pretend to be. I just graduated and I'm thinking about buying a 2004 Nissan Maxima (6th Gen)...

I want to do some modifications to it, but from what I'm observing, its not really as "modifiable" as say.. a Honda Civic or Mazda RX-7 or other import sports cars... am I wrong?

Could someone refer me to some places where I can get things like exhaust, rims, intake and things like that for racing?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm actually looking into the 3.5 SE, which is only $34,500 CDN compared to the $45,000 CDN for the 350Z... almost a $10,000 price difference.

the 350Z base might be cheaper than the 3.5SE base, but maybe Canada has a different price (I'm from Canada but I haven't been in Canada for 18 years ). It's really between comfort and sporty. get a Maxima if you want comfort. get a used RX-7 and the rest of the money for mods, and you'll have a beast.

Wait for the RX-7, or maybe even look into the EVO8... Other cars for that price range would be the Honda S2000, Used RX-7, Used Supra(thats if you can find one), etc.... With that money you got, if you want a fast car with good aftermarket support, go for a sports car, I know the maxima is fast, but if its sporty fast you want, go for a fast sports car.

Yeah my friend has one of those evo8s and it is real fast. They also have enough parts available to get that think under 3 sec for 0-60. Well that is with 70grand.

Hahaha..

Yeah, I'm looking into the Maxima cause I really don't want a sports car, more of a .. well, adult car. Something a little more mature, although I still would like to mod it a bit. Tired of racing right now, I used to drive a '92 NSX.. expensive lol for an old car, but nonetheless a beast...
Just looking for a car that has mature qualities, yet still can be modded with SOME race features.

A 5th gen is more mature.
