and 235/40 tires, what are you psi readings front and back?
my wheel shop told me to go with 30 all around, but every time i take my car to the dealer they pump it up to 40...
any thoughts?
by the way, the maximum pressure stated on my tire is 51psi

I agree 100%

I am with Turbo on this 35 PSI for me, I know Tony C. (1MAX2NV) runs 36 front/32 rear. I am happy with 35.

I remember reading a test on this a couple of years back in either CarandDriver or Motortrend. They wanted to find out at what tire pressure settings would the cars they tested handle optimally. They came to the conclusion that cars that were FWD ran best (in everyday driving, NOT race track driving) w/ 2 more psi than what the manufacturer spec'ed for the fronts, and leaving the rears at the recommended pressure.

I've road-raced my GSX many times and have never had to increase my rear pressures. Our cars have so much negative camber at the rear, high pressure isn't really needed.
