Trunk question

Trunk question

my trunk has always closed very fast and is very annoying when some1 slams my trunk but not on purpose.... i think it is sumtin to do with those horizontal bars under the rear deck ive tried to bend them in different directions and nothign happens same ol s|-|it


anyone with prior expeience with this that can give me some advice?

My solution was to not let anyone close my trunk ... or yell at them to not slam it. It worked.

Other than that, I can't think of anything.

I know what you mean. I just let my truck fall, and gravity takes it just fast enough to close. But other people give it the slightest touch, and *SLAM*. Just do what clee130 did, and just scream at 'em. It's what i do, but it doesn't seem to work all that much.

Yeah, I used to yell at people. You can't avoid people accidentally slamming your trunk, especially if you are dropping them off and they've got stuff in the back. I don't think there's anything significant you can do about it.

Well, you can spend a good amount of your money and have an electric actuator installed for your trunk to remotely open and close it for you.
