Who wins? Just curious cause my friend has one.

 

It would depend if its a GTP or not. If its a GT. I would say the maxima would win. Though I'm not sure how much power the GT has.

1)Gran Prix SE -- 175 HP V-6 3384lbs, should be an easy kill
2)Gran Prix GT -- 200 HP V-6 3496 lbs, a good race but you should still win.
3)Gran Prix GTP - 240 HP V-6 3559 lbs, but 280 ft/lbs of torque......prolly need a few mods to beat this one but its heavy.

 

Here in Detroit where everyone has a crappy grand prix and maximas are a rare sight, I beat gt's pretty easily in my '97 5 speed w/ just a jwt popcharger. I haven't really raced a gtp. Maybe after a few more mods...

 

I had my whole family (4) people in my max and that @%% GTP coupe (the new ones) comes tailgate me then I started getting mad and started braking checking that thing then after we turn to a 2 lane road (I was going home not trying to race him and I was thinking he might go straight and leave me alone) I gunned it from 30-110km/h he did it too he was like 1 to 2 cars ahead of me(he started pulling when my engine was at less then 4000rpm then I kept up) then we hit traffic I slowed down he started passing people like mad again
if you plan to go to 200+ km/h you might have a chance since they got OHV engines but below that and if you drive a stock auto like mine its gonna be hard

 

oh yeah forgot to tell you that the GPs are speed limited to 115mph or something if you have max without speed limiter you can beat the GP in top speed
