I was talking to my dealer today and they were telling me that Nissan Smyrna got with with golf ball size hail and it damaged 9,600 brand new cars from Sentra to Maxima. Just thought i'd drop a note for those that are looking for a cheap brand new car with severe hail damage. If interested check your local Nissan dealership. Here is my idea, find a white Sentra and putting like Ping or MaxFli or something on the side, my sick humor right. Just thought you all may want to know. Chris

It is a lot of money down the hole. I could only get the price for the Sentra, its an auction. The Sentra base i'm thinking is selling dealer price for like 8k and the dealers plan to sell them for like 9500 or so. These should be in the dealers by end of next week approx. full factory warranty. May be a nice commute car or city car. Chris

That's odd, I don't think any Sentras are at the Smyrna plant. I thought they were all made in Mexico. Altima and 04 Maxima I could believe...

The Sentra is made in Mexico, Smyrna is a main distribution location for Nissan. All the models get shipped to Smyrna and then sent to various dealers for that side of the country. Chris

So are all the cars going to auction, or are they going to dealerships damaged?

Your local dealer was notified, they inturn were invited to go to Smyrna and they will buy at auction the cars and bring them to the dealer and sell them as brand new damaged. Ask your dealer what they are doing on this deal, they may or may not tell you. Chris

Hmmm looks like its time to go to the dealer with a sledge hammer then wait and watch the auctions a week later.
