Do you believe this SHT!??? My 2k headlights were robbed

I come out in the morning and my rear door is open, front door handle ripped out, hood open, 2k AE lights are missing.

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF dumb moth fokas. I DONT HAVE A 2k2/

I do have HID, 2k2 rims and 2k2 tails. I mean In brooklyn every other 2k2 has 2k lights so why da fock take mine. What if I had no HID?

Anyway thats not what is bothering me. They cut all the wires that go to the big fuse box by the headlight under the hood. I reconncted evryhting and the car still doesnt start. It cranks but dont start. And my check engine does not light up when i put the key into ON position.

**the handle works but somehting with 2 wires was broken from it.

Any ideas????

Tahnk you.

Ow, sorry to hear about the wiring harness to the fuse box. The whole harness is about $1000 and it will cost over $2000 total to replace it.
Don't ask why I know this.

If the CEL in not coming on when the key is in the on position sounds like the ECU isn't getting any power, ie crank/no start. Maybe this can help narrow down your search for causes. Sorry

ga dam that sucks val. DAm, see, thats why i went for a real alarm man, i know u dont want to hear this now but its fortunate that they took your lights and not your car like they did me. Immediately after that i went for a pager alarm and never got a dam thing stolen from me again, nto to say it will prevent it from happening but atleast it slows them down...well u know about alarms, i really recommend you invest in one, especially since you trying to go for the 2k2-2k3 look...

sorry man, hope things work out i know u take good care of that car too...

It really doesn't pay to have a nice car in Brooklyn or anyplace like Brooklyn for that matter. People will steal anything if they can.
When I had my Dodge Omni, when I was a teenager in BK, come fool stole my stereo. Luckily someone saw who did it and I went to his house to get my stuff. Punk never opened the door though.

Shows you that they just don't drive around see a Maxima and steal the lights, they most likely followed you. My HID's were stolen twice, after the first time I got a garage and thought it wouldn't happen again. Than they stole it a second time in front of my house during the day, in front of a park full of people, while my neighbor tried to hit them with a hockey stick.

So now I gave up, I put 2k1 AE lights and 2k1 tail lights too, so they won't mistake the headlights.

I miss the HID's alot, it hurts when I see a 2k2 with HIDs but I'll adapt, and I still have them in the fogs.

Ther best thing about it is that I built myself a sleeper, since it looks like a 2k1 but there's a big 3.5 with a 6spd under the hood.

I live in Newark,NJ by the way, which is just as bad as Brooklyn concerning HID theft.

i really thought you were safe Val, but then again.. your car was basically a 2k2 aside from the grille and headlights.. and still, thieves are scumbags and they probably cruise up and down the streets at night and look at the cars from the back/side.. and your car is visually a 2k2..

Anyone living in NYC and close parts of NJ, is bound to get their headlights stolen. I see more than 60% of 2k2-2k3s in Brooklyn with 2k headlights. This is rediculous. No wonder 2k2 resale value is so sh!tty.

Good luck getting that fixed.
such a shame you can't even have anything nice living in Brooklyn because your car is almost guaranteed to get robbed/hit.

I live in Manhattan and I'm not planning to add anything into my car. If it moves, i'm happy. Just two weeks ago, 3 of my tires got puncture. I park my car on the street everyday. I drove my car for 4 block at 4 mph to the mobil gas station to get some air into the tires. As a result, I replace 4 of my tires. Costed me $350.

No, is not a revenge thing. As of right now, I don't know who did it.

best of luck, did they give you a price quote or are they charging by the hour? hopefully it is an electrical problem and not something else.

Incredible that you have to worry about headlight theft ??

Who are the idiots buying the stolen headlights from the thiefs ? or where are they selling these ?

some just sell the HIDs (not the headlights) and make money off that way.

When someone steals these....Some punk 17-year-old kid in a civic won't want to pass up an opportunity to get real HIDs for $200
