what's that thing hanging off your rear bumper? probably a style, but i dont recognize it.

hmmmmmmm maybe i should tie a 5 ft string so that it flys behind me and it keeps tailgaters away.

and of course... sexy red box on wheels

It's call a static line. Very common in Japan. I pick one up when I was there. It helps discharge static electricity acummulated from tire rotation and other mechanical devices into the ground so that your car contains less static which means no more shocks and less dust buildup on the interior and exterior.

Nice!!! This one of the first third gens that I think looks awesome. Stock for Stock I think fourth gens beat all...stock for stock. I am a little biased though.

- 7 Weekends! Try 9 months of constant drizzle. I think we the most cases of depression in the Northwest due to the weather.

- the static line seems to be working. It is connected to the frame. It's a piece of flexible metal on the inside cover by a layer of plastic. So far I have notice less dust buildup on my interior, especially dash.

- I went to one of the first NW Maxima meets when the group only included three maximas with my old 91 Red SE, you can see it in the background on some of the pics. I've just been really busy with work since the economy crapped out. Will try to make it to more meets.

- I like Chris' maxima. It's different, He has a Stillen kit so I decided to mix and match instead.

I also finished my interior upgrades. Will post some more pics later. look for 'more rain'.

Don't know about a group deal on the grounding strap. It was $10 in Japan and I've seen them here at local rice shops for $12. I;ve also seen some on ebay also.

Not yet. waiting for my tax return check to get here. but if I remember correctly it should be around $215 shipped from Stillen right? and I know it's not a perfect fit.

Are you talking about putting on door inserts? I was looking at those. I think a guy here maxtunedup or something like that was having a GD on them. But when I bought my car it came with sometype of vinyl of leather ruffle inserts so I don't know if I can put something over that.

Anyways post the pics dude and I'll post my finish interior pics also.

as long as they're still available. i had to fight a bit to get mine. they are/were planning on halting production because of the fitment issues. Same deal as the 4th gen wings.

Thats a nice looking car, the paint looks like its in perfect condition. Did you have the whole body repainted when you installed the kit?

Re: Re: It rains alot in the Northwest....

The kit was painted after it was put on. I bought the car used from Florida and the paint kob was immaculate when bought it. After taking off the side moldings I found some paint spots that had peeled off so I prepped it and added touch up piant. You can oly see it close up though.

The car is quite loud without the silencers even though I have a 28" resonator. I get headaches driving it around. With the silencers adjusted open it's just right. A nice deep V8 growl. With silencers adjusted close it nice and quiet, especially for long trips.

I am also getting the red X of death on the pics also...I have no idea what the car looks like but hopefully I can soon...

Look at page 3 of my homepage to see what my 3rd gen used to look like before I started parting it out.

first off, that is one of the cleanest maxima's out there, please tell me u recently got a new paint job or a major detail.

Secondly, i think a lot of u would agree that the year is moving a little too fast for the seasons. We are in June and it feels like we are in april. Back in april when it should have been in the 60's, 70's and heavily raining (spring) it was snowing and still in the 40's and lucky sometimes to get 50's. We are like 2 months ahead of the seasons. I bet you this is going to be a very hot fall this year. Tell me i'm not the only one that see's this trend...

Try rain 93 days in a row, then a 1 day break, then 32 more days in a row.

That happened here in Seattle back in 1995....It's usual every year to get at least 60 straight days.

SeaMax - where are you located? Us here in Seattle haven't seen/met you before.

If you are near Seattle, check out www.nwmaxima.com when you have a chance. We have meets, mod days, BBQ's, and track days often.

(Site is down for rebuild right now, but try later - we're rebuilding he Server)
