engine problem, any idea?

I have 97 max w/ manual transmission. This problem just started happening. The car starts fine in the morning, but once the engine is warmed up to temperature and I shut it down to run into a store. Come back and the engine won't start, but it cranks. Any help suggestions will be great.

Check your ECU for codes, you may have a crank position sensor thats starting to fail. You can take them out and clean them. They tend to attract very fine metalic dust which over time will cause a weak or distorted signal from them.

You should also check or change your engine coolant temp sensor.
