ACT PP with new stock disc?

Does anyone know if I can use my ACT pressure plate with an OEM quality clutch disc? I know that the exedy disc that ACT use is organic and almost if not OEM quality. right? My mech told me this should be possible, the thing that makes the ACT grab 39% harder is the heavy pressure plate ACT uses. I need a clutch disc ASAP as cheap as possible so input would be great. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap disc??? An organic exedy disc from ACT costs $109.

ACT uses a "modified" oem disc. I believe the take a OEM disc and put in stronger springs. A normal OEM disc will "work". How long it can take the abuse of that strong PP, I have no idea. I bet it would work as long as you didn't take it to the limits but don't hold me to that. I'd just buck up and buy the new disc from ACT.

I did notice the exedy disc ACT sells have 4 springs instead of the 6 in a stock disc. This is to make the pedal feel harder? Can I still use a 6 spring oem disc with the ACT Pressure plate? It should fit perfect right? really any organice disc made for the maxima should fit with the pressure plate right?

Fit? Probably. Work to the design limits of the pressure plate? Dunno and would probably say no.

Hey Jeff. I have an almost new JWT Stage II Pressure plate. Do you think that the next time I need a clutch to throw that in and just get teh JET Stage II Pressure disk or try mating the ACT pressure disk with it?

Man, I can't even try to comment on mix/matching stuff like that. The reason is it's such a pain to replace clutch parts if it doesn't work or breaks.
