MY Maxima-SOLD

I finally went through with it this time. My maxima is sold. It was a tough decision but it's time for me to get a real sports car, G35 Coupe 6-spd. It should be here this week.
I will miss my maxima though, from my 14.3 runs, the pike vid, and just all the time and effort i put into making her what she is today.
I'll still be around just as much and i'll definetly still be at all the meets. Thanks again for everything guys and no matter what I'll still always be part of the family.

Coupes suck
Real men drive 4 doors
Nice car nonetheless and congrats but it's not a Sports Car in my book.

Saw a spotless bright red g35 couple pull into a convience store last night. It was late, like 11pm, he was the only car in the lot...slick HIDS and that really cool stripe next to them that fades as it lowers to the bumper. He had the 18's and spoiler. Gorgeous. My roomate said the car looked "too overdone" What a fool.

FAR cry from a real skyline, i don't care about the suspension, nothing, where the hell is the RB26DETT... Until that or similar is put in, it's not near a Skyline... I still love the G35C... In fact if i had the money to buy a car up to $65000 CAD right now, i'd still go for the 350Z/G35C... If i had over $70, i'd be tempted by the 540i 6sp... Congrats on the wicked wheels

the G35 isnt going to keep up with a 6spd Max with an intake. sorry bud. i dont think there is aftermarket support...what are you thinking? frankencar going to use your car as a prototype?

dont get me wrong its a sweet ride...still not a true sports car tho IMO.

can someone explain to me what a "true sports car" is?

and why does the nissan of japan website list the g35 as a skyline if it's not a "real" skyline?

btw, great move with the g-coupe

The G35C has 7 less hp than the Z (as listed by Nissan), but is the V35 Skyline in Japan. There will be plenty of aftermarket support, and many parts from the Z will also fit.

As far as the G35C being a true sports car, I don't see why it isn't. The sedan and coupe are totally different looking cars, and the G35 can keep up with the latest "sports cars" of present (which are few and far between anyway); Z, Rx8, WRX, S2k, Boxster, RSX, and (if you consider them sports cars) Celica, Eclipse, Prelude. So please tell me; if the G35 isn't a sports car then what is a sports car?

Why all this disregard for the G35? It is a true sports car with great comfort. Rear wheel drive, 50/50 weight(almost), & 280 horses. What's not to love? It was a serious contender for my M3 money...

There is no such thing as an objective "true sports car", so stop worrying about it

Congrats on the ride, I don't know what else I'd pick up for just over $30k. Some people think it's too heavy and want something more like .92g instead of .86g on the skidpad, but I think it's a great culmination of style and sport.

You do realize Greddy is about to release the TWIN 18G turbo kit for the G35C, right? Also, Blitz makes an intake, Stillen makes a urethane body kit, high-flow airbox, exhaust, Greddy makes an exhaust and other goodies. Plus, there are MANY many parts that will crossover from the 350Z such as suspension, brakes, LSD, cams, heads, Ti-headers, Greddy E-manage, RC Engineering injectors, etc...

There is going to be PLENTY of aftermarket support for the G35C.

whats with all this true sports car stuff. G35C has 2 doors, RWD, 6spd tranny, and puts out good handling and performance numbers, oh thats right, it doesnt have the BMW emblem. Why people hating on the G35 just because its not a BMW. G35 pretty original in my opinion, compared to an M3(3 series with more power) or M5(5 series with more power) or even 540, all they did was throw a stronger engine, and stiffened up an already existing chassis. In comparison the G35/350Z was practically built from the ground up, yea it shares the new FM platform with other nissans, but if they followed BMWs way of doing things, the 350Z and the G35 would just look like an Altima with a little more power and a different tranny.

1. i got a silver one with black leather. i originally ordered a red one but with my driving record i can't be driving around a flashy red sports car.
2. there already is a good amount of aftermarket support and whatever parts i can't get i'll just make lol. i already made an intake for a 350Z and we are just working to get it to production and the G will have just about the same intake. I haven't looked at the exhaust yet but i bet a 350Z catback will fit with minor modification.
3. a G35 coupe will definetly keep up with a 6-spd Max with an intake, especially after driving one and feeling how much better the car feels then my maxima. it will be close but the G is a little rocket.
4. the wheels were 5-Zigen MO-5 Inperios, i recently had them painted gun metal, they looked really nice. 2 of them are bent already though, i've gotta try and get them repaired.
