I just got back from a local shop and his supplier told me they don't make aftermarket tie rods (inner and outer) for my year. I really don't want to buy from dealer cause its twice the money. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase this? The shop quoted me $300 with alignment, but since they will have to get from dealer it will cost $600.

Your shop might be inflating.
I had 2 tie rods replaced by my shop with alignment(all4/angle)...$360 total.

The cost on the Tie Rods were about $68 each.
I think he ordered them from Napa or Jegs.

 

$68 each? The dealer has it for $55 each.

I also need a ball joint, can I buy this seperatly or do I need to purchase the control arm?
