y-pipe loudness
The y-pipe isn't suppose to be much louder than stock at all. Only very slightly more undercar noise, and a little more muffler noise at the rear. My intake is easily 10x louder. You sure you don't have an exhaust leak?
I think he means it like getting a cat-back and opening up the exaust flow. I recently had a local shop bend me a 2.5" catback with a 2k2 muffler on the end, and I'm very happy with it. I'ts got a little more rumble than just a y-pipe, but still not really noticible until you romp on it.
oh yah the power difference is sick, i guess its not that loud really, just all in my head, i was grinning from ear to ear while i was driving today, and taking that mustang for a walk was great
