Problems with new Transmission

I have had the new 5-speed tranny in the car for a little over a month now. A problem has occurred within the last day and today. The tranny will not let me engage 1st or second at all. I don't think it is the clutch because I can engage 3rd, 4th, 5th, and reverse perfectly fine. However, 1st and 2nd just will not let me engage them. Any idea what is up? I was leaking a little tranny fluid out of the passenger's side CV axle, but I have always kept the tranny full. Any ideas any one? Thanks.

It can't be the throw-out bearing because the car shifts fine into 3rd, 4th, 5th, and reverse. So that is fine. In the morning, I am gonna take a look at the shift linkage. That may be the problem, but I am not sure. Right now I am pretty disgusted with this car. I am thinking, thinking hard right now.......

Well Bijan, it could be a multitude of things. It could be the shift rods, shifter assembly, internal tranny parts, etc etc. I am HOPING that it is not the last thing on that list. But hell, I have to take out the tranny anyways to replace the Rear main seal, so why the hell not lol.
