Just wanted help / advice on VB upgrade install. I am in Lafayette, Indiana right now, just ordered a VB upgrade from Don in Texas.
Unfortunately, I went ahead of myself and went and ordered the VB from Don without checking first if the performance shop here in Lafayette, Indiana would do it.
Unfortunately, after talking to the performance shops today, the owners have informed me that they would not do it for me (rather - prefer not to).
So, my next question is....Does anyone here on the BBS from the following states (Illinois - preferably Chicago; Indiana - anywhere in the state of Indiana; or Ohio - preferably Columbus) know of anywhere / anyone who can help me out in this install?
Thank you all, greatly appreciate all the advice and help I can get.

If you have the right tools, lots of time available, and a helper it's not too bad. Just very, very, very messy.

If you follow Don's instructions and have someone

to help with a few hours to spare then it is easly, just take your time. Plus you would save yourself the $$$ from paying a shop.

Try tranny shop and tell them this ->

I got a bad valve body in my car and need to replace it with this one =)

Tell them it's just a stock one. They will do it and can't tell the difference.

If you were closer I would help you, but it's not really hard.

Do you have basic tools? Know anyone that's good with their tools. All it is just bolts. Nothing special. You did get new tranny pan gasket right? YOu will need a new one.

The Valve Body (VB) mod is for auto trannys only and helps the stock tranny handle any additional power from mods thus improving the longevity of the tranny itself. From my test drive of a '98GXE w/ the VB mod, it also causes the tranny to shift gears MUCH faster thus getting your power to the road more quickly. At $450, it seems to be a great value and is on the top of my wish list right now (see my mods below).

The VB makes the shifts quicker and harder

I have a couple of movies of my Maxima that you can download to see what it does. Go to my multimedia page.
