the only problem with going there is the pad they use are usually crap. if you do any hard driving, I would suggest supplying your own pads or taking it to a different mechanic that will use your own pads.

also, brakes are VERY easy to do.. at least the fronts are. remove the wheel, and it's 1 bolt and a c-clamp on each side. takes about 5-10 minutes per wheel.

the rears are a little more difficult, but it's not too hard.

I changed all 4 corners and replaced my lines with stainless lines in under an hour.

lemme know if you feel comfortable with doing your own brake work, and I'll give you instructions.

I made the mistake of getting Midas pads about a year ago. . . The pads are crap, they squeal, and the stock pads that came off my car with almost 85K on them still stopped the car better than the Midas brakes do. . . I don't plan on keeping them any longer than I have to, and will probably go with a higher performance pad next time. I just didn't know I had better options when I got them, as it was before I found this site.

The brake pads are really hard, so that they can offer a "lifetime" guarantee, so they will make a lot of grinding and squealing noises.

i went in there and asked about stuff before.. lets just say customer service isnt their best feature.. couple that with a "lifetime warranty" .. and you got big PITA tryin to get yer warranty.

theres also a few horror storys about midas floatin around, do a search? but then, most companies have horror stories..
