what is the biggest size pipe that i can get for my max to get the most power from? the muffler shop i went to recommended 2 1/4 inch for the best performance is that true?

2.5" for the 3.0 L V6 setups

who offers 2.5" pipe?
i know stillen and courtesy offers one but are they 2.5" and are they stainless steel? how much are they?
