This is not heads up racing. It's bracket racing. If it was heads up racing, I wouldn't stand a chance against 9s Supras on DOT approved tires.

Yeah, I can... it's called nitrous. And it's coming to a VE Auto 2400 miles away from you.

Oh yeah, one little interesting fact. I've participated in the Sport Compact class 4 times and won 3 of those times. Not too bad huh? In order for you to win, things just have to happen in your favor all night. All I can do is make my car as consistant as possible and try to always beat my opponent on the tree. Then, hope it turns out well for me at the end.

Just curious, but have you seen a BLACK turbo 5th gen....supposedly running 10.78

Worth a shot at asking.

Not at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I would have heard of that car if he ever ran there. There is Ron aka i30krab in Vegas. He's a 4th gen auto with SC and nitrous. He couldn't do anything that one time went to the track on street tires. Of course! But he has a 4th gen i30 white. That's all I've heard about Vegas maximas that are hooked up a lot.

Runner up red-lighted I believe. So the slower car actually won that bracket.

Sorry. As said above, this is NOT heads up racing. This is bracket racing. So it does not matter if my car ran 30's in the 1/4 mile. And yes, the faster car did redlight so the slower car won. But how fast they go is not what determines the winner.

Here's a good bracket racing explanation:

I found the thread you read about that Turbo 5th gen. Those street legal drags he's talking about is a ricer event every Friday night at the strip at LVMS. It's called Midnight Mayhem. And I have a BILLION contacts out there. I can find out for sure. Until then...

I've never seen that car before. Cause I go to race not watch. But I'm sure it's just a Berreta body. Nothing else is stock. Super Pro is full electronics class. And pretty much everybody is big blocks.

Indeed, but why a beretta for god's sakes... That's the same as using a Corsica body (sedan version of Beretta).... ewww... what a horrible choice of a car body.

Well there are lots of Monte Carlos, Regals, etc that drag race. People say the same thing about my car, why a Maxima? Why not start with something fast like a Camaro? lol

Monte Carlo and Regal GSX's are already fast though, and the maxima is pretty fast as well, but we're talking about a beretta, which either comes with a 120hp I4 or a 155hp V6...

If there is a 5th gen in Vegas running 10's, I'll kiss his azz personally if you find him. Sorry, another post has me distracted. LOL!

I'd love to see what USED to be a Maxima and get some ideas, since I'm always in Vegas.

OK, I'm going to hold you to that statement. I've talked to a lot of people in the past hour and one guy that owns a VERY reputable performance shop thinks he has heard a rumor of a Turbo Maxima in Vegas that's supppose to be fast. But he also is raising the BS flag. Most people just say, his friend that saw the run just has poor vision.

And the people that have watched every race in those events haven't seen any 10s Maxima. They haven't seen any Maximas. And if one ran anything faster than 13's, then you KNOW people would remember. I'll keep looking though.
