Ok, so everybody, for the most part, has upgraded in one way or another their brakes. Has anyone ever upgraded their brake master cylinder. Did it help, how much, where can you get one, never seen it advertised.

Probably cause there is no suitable aftermarket ones. I don't think that the MC is the problem on the 4th gen. It's just the fact that the brakes are a little undersized for a car it's size and weight. A 2600 civic can be had with 10.5" disc, while the maxima(4th gen), about 500 lbs heavier can only be had with a 10.8"?

If you just upgrade your lines, pads, and maybe rotors, it would be good enough for most situations including light autox duties.

Thanks for the info, I have a 5th gen tho, I don't know if that makes any difference. What are some good pads out for the 5th gen and are the custom stainless lines that much better than the Goodridge?
