Hey, I was thinking of having my stillen kit molded. My body shop guy said not to do it because I will get cracks where the joints are.

How long has your kit been molded?
Is there any visable problems?
What method/material did your guy use?
Does your car bottom out? (My car is low and the lip scrapes fairly often.) He said the flexing of the front piece will cause cracks.
Also, the kit pieces go from the bumper to the fender/quarters. Therefore will be attached to both pieces. How did you take care of that problem?

Thanks for a reply if ya got time.

The I30 bumper is one piece that raps around the front end and connects to the fender. So another words it's not to pieces like the max. I think my sig pic shows this. As for the rest of the ??? .

My kit has been on for about half a year now. There is a crack in the middle of my lip from me hitting it on one of those damn concrete parking stops The shop that put on the kit used this type of fiberglass-reinforced molding material so its stronger and more resistant to cracking. I'm sure in time cracks will show up but thats unavoidalbe with all the vibration. Ofcourse when you put on a kit you will have problems with ground clearence (hitting my front lip is an example), but thats the price you pay for making your car different
