STupid Question: Securing DC Clear Corners on a Maxima

So I bought Diamond Cut clear corners from CustomMaxima.com and installed them.

I noticed the smaller lense assembly is fairly loose when installed. Also one of the inner pieces is warped a little, but thats not very noticable. HOwever, the looseness is.

Is there a way to secure that smaller lense assembly so people won't steal it and also so the lense won't fall off? I remember a long time ago reading of a thread where they screwed it in, but I can't find it anymore.

I'm thinking of glueing it..but then it'll never come off (if i need to replace bulb).

Don't screw it on. Someone got there bumper broken or all scratched up, and it is not worth it for some $40 clear corners.

I believe they went to Home Depot and got some screws that fit the hole where the metal pins currently are. Then used a nut to secure it.

But that brings up the other question of whether you want some would be thief to get really ****ed off and break your windows or scratch up your car instead.

The other option would be to just wrap some electrical tape around the metal pin and shove it in there. That should make the install pretty tight.

I'm not as concerned about getting it stolen; I'm more worried about it falling off when I hit a bump or something. Its more of a peace of mind type thing.

I didn't think a screw could find in that hole; I will try the duct tape method though.

Yeah, I just used electrical tape around the ball joint and pushed it in to give a nice, snug fit.

Could alway use silicone. It will stick once it dries, but wont be as permanent as glue.

It's the same as using screws which you don't want...

In the box, it comes with lil white thingies that replace the original mounts on your car, right?
Take the old plastic white thing out. Place the new corner lamp in. Now, reverse the orientation of the new white plastic thing and insert it onto the ball from behind. I did this and cannot remove my lamps...I don't even thing a screwdriver between the lamps can pop them out.

I found that if you unscrew the screw out a few turns it will reach down farther and fit more securely. Ive had mine like this for over 4 months and still no problems!
