Scratches
#1
My car has recently been scratched while my friend was backing his car out of the driveway, his rear bumber rubbed up against the rear drivers side of my car. It left these little scracth marks in that spot. They're small but a few of them. I don't think they are that deep. Anyone know if that commercial scratch remover stuff will work? If not, what else is good to get rid of it?

Try a fine-cut or medium-cut cleaner to see if that does that trick. Meguiars makes some pretty good ones. I think it is Meguiars #6 (or #3) from their Mirror Glaze line of products (the ones in the tan bottles). Then, follow up with a polish and then wax. Good luck!

Process
If the scratch is not through the clearcoat, use a clearcoat compound to restore rhe clear. Cleaners is to harsh and not designed for restoration. Then properly polish and wax. If the clearcost is to deeply scratched, then you will need to re-clear, wet sand , polish, wax etc. This should not be done by yourself if you have not attemped this. A body shop can do it quickly.
